1. What is OurMasjid?
OurMasjid.lk is a connected digital platform for Sri Lankan Masjids. It provides 24/7 Smart TV notice boards for the prayer hall, mobile community web portals for congregation members, and a streamlined administrative dashboard for Masjid committees.
2. What hardware is required for the TV display?
Any Smart TV with a web browser, an Amazon Fire Stick, an Android TV box (around LKR 10,000–15,000), or a Mini PC connected via HDMI will work immediately. No proprietary or specialized hardware is required.
3. What happens if the Masjid loses internet access?
The TV display engine automatically caches the entire year's prayer timetable in the browser's local storage. Prayer times, Iqamah countdowns, and clocks continue running accurately without any interruption during internet outages.
4. Can our Masjid use its own customized prayer timetable?
Yes. You can use standard Sri Lankan astronomical calculation methods or enter custom offsets and fixed Jamā'ah schedules approved by your Masjid trustees and Imam.
5. Can one committee manage multiple screens?
Yes. You can launch your dedicated display URL on multiple screens simultaneously — such as the main prayer hall, ladies gallery, entrance lobby, and dining hall. All screens synchronize instantly.
6. How can our Masjid register?
